1. Design basis
The design of heavy-duty racks must be determined with reference to the vertical and horizontal height of the warehouse, the size of the pallet, the weight of the goods, and the lifting height of the forklift. The length of the beam of the heavy-duty rack is determined by the size of the pallet, and the carrying capacity of each layer of the rack is determined by the weight of the goods + the weight of the pallet. The weight is determined, and the height of the shelf is determined by the net height of the warehouse and the lifting height of the forklift.
Second, the number of pallets per layer of heavy-duty racks
The heavy-duty racks are mainly supported by beams on both sides. If the beam is too long, it will reduce the force of the shelf, and thicker materials must be used if necessary. The warehouse area that uses heavy-duty racks is relatively large, usually including fire hydrants, fire-fighting passages, building pillars, pedestrian passages and other safety facilities. The design should be fully considered, and the racks should be arranged reasonably. The storage and retrieval of heavy-duty racks needs to be operated by forklifts. Therefore, it is necessary to reserve a passage between the two rows of large racks for the forklift to turn. The turning radius of different forklifts is very different, and it must be considered.
