Details that must be considered for shelf placement

The size of the warehouse determines the specifications and dimensions of the shelves. Not only does the design of the shelves have important principles, but also the details that cannot be ignored when the shelves are placed. In fact, not only supermarket shelves have various skills when placing them, but other shelves, such as drugstore shelves, storage shelves, cosmetic shelves, automobile supplies shelves, etc., have details that need attention in their placement.
The first factor to consider is: warehouse plant structure. The first thing we consider when designing the shelf is the structure of the plant and warehouse. The main considerations here are: 1. The height of the warehouse, which determines the height of our shelves. 2. The position of the pillars and beams, which affect the overall placement of the shelf. 3. The bearing capacity of the floor, which affects the installation of the shelf and the load-bearing capacity of the shelf in the future. 4. Have to consider lighting system and fire protection system.
The second consideration is: the characteristics of the items stored on the shelf. Shelves serve the goods, and the size of the goods determines the size of the shelf. The second thing we have to consider is the weight of the goods to determine the materials and load-bearing capacity of the shelf. The third point is to choose different shelf types according to different storage units. For example, if the unit uses pallets, storage cages, and boxes, the types of shelves selected are definitely different.
The third consideration is: shelf accessibility. The relationship between shelf storage and storage density is equivalent to the relationship between fish and bear's paws, and cannot have both. It is usually to provide storage density and reduce the accessibility of goods. The general plan is actually a compromise between various factors.
The fourth consideration is the cargo handling equipment.
Handling equipment provides an important factor in warehouse efficiency. Usually warehouses are equipped with stackers. This requires us to fully consider the specifications and models of the stacker when designing the width of the shelf.
Fifth point: the amount of in and out of the warehouse. The amount of in and out of storage can measure whether the type of shelf we selected is wasted. For example, some shelves have a good storage density, but the amount of in and out of the warehouse is very low, this is a bit unsuitable. Large shelves and few goods are not only a waste of money but also a waste of resources and space.
In short, the shelf placement is based on the actual size of the warehouse to use and place rationally, and the placement of the shelf maximizes the use of resources and space.
