The design of heavy-duty racks needs to be determined with reference to factors such as the length, width and height of the warehouse, pallet size, cargo weight, and forklift lifting height. The length of the rack beam is determined according to the pallet size; the load-bearing capacity of each shelf is determined by the weight of the goods + the pallet; the number of shelf layers is determined by the warehouse. Use the clear height to determine; the shelf height is determined according to the warehouse's available clear height and the lift height of the forklift; and so on.

2. Number of pallets per layer

Heavy-duty racks are mainly carried by the beams on both sides. If the beams are too long, they will reduce the force of the racks. If necessary, thicker materials have to be selected. This increases the cost to a certain extent. Therefore, put 2-3 beams on a layer of beams. The pallet is more reasonable, and it is common to design two pallets on each layer, with a 10cm gap between the pallet and the pallet, and a 10cm gap between the pallet and the column of the heavy shelf.

Three, arrangement layout

Heavy-duty rack warehouses usually have a relatively large area and usually include safety facilities such as fire hydrants, fire passages, building columns, pedestrian passages, etc. The design should be fully considered, and the shelves should be arranged rationally, and the heavy-duty racks need to be handled by forklifts. Therefore, there must be a passage between the two rows of heavy-duty racks for the forklift to turn. The turning radius of different forklifts is very different, and it must be considered.
